A festival of new writing, inspired by lines from obituaries and performed at a wake.

Taking inspiration from a pub wake, we aimed to make all the materials sympathetic to traditional imagery and language used at such gatherings (for example, ‘With our sympathy …’ drove a lot of the communications used to connect with audiences). (more…)

Continuing on from Season 2011, we worked with Darlinghurst Theatre Company on branding and marketing materials for Season 2012.

As with previous seasons, the main goal was to create an unique and unifying visual brand for Darlo that highlights its various productions; yet still privileges the imagery introduced by each co-op company working with Darlo. (more…)

For the Space’s 2011 production of Tartuffe we designed all the marketing materials including a video that was used to promote the show virally. We also designed posters that were used as part of the set and the live video streaming application that was used during the performance. (more…)

For Season 2011, we worked with Darlinghurst Theatre Company to create a consistent and unified branding approach, that could function across all of the theatre’s marketing materials.

As many of the shows at Darlinghurst Theatre are co-operative, creative assets tend to come from a disparate number of sources, within varying scales of budget. Our goal was to provide designs, layouts and type treatments that could bring together these material under the one ‘umbrella’ of Darlinghurst Theatre Company in a striking manner. (more…)

Working with illustrator Karen Briggs, we developed a design and layout to bring to life the Story of Yudum, by Aaron C Stuart.

The overall aim for the design was to privilege Karen’s illustrations, using a sympathetic type treatment and colour palette, highlighting the landscapes and imagery that echoed Aaron’s story. (more…)

Using the collected stories of 10 indigenous Australians, Words from the Heart: Life, Love and Laughter, highlights the journeys that have been taken by individuals to reach their aspirations, both in life and in their unique careers. Commissioned by Jobs Australia, each individual’s story is strengthened by their immediate connection to a specific region of Australia, dramatically captured in the photography of Wendy McDougall.
